Description

Mad Snowboarding - a crazy open world snowboard game. Reach the finish and make as many tricks as possible on your way down the mountain. Mad Snowboarding has a built-in level editor, which allows you to create own levels and share them with the community. This way there are always new levels to explore. Fight for daily worldwide highscores or challenge up to four of your friends to play simultaneously either with or against you in the split screen mode!

Personally, I don't like all that pure online gaming thing. I often go to a friend, so that we can play 'online' in the same room. I think that no microphone can give that good feeling of playing together with your friends in the same room! I also don't know any good snowboarding game since SSX, Coolboarders and 1080 Snowboarding with split-screen mode. Therefore, I thought it was time to revive the split-screen snowboarding again :)

There is also an Android VR version of the game. Mad Snowboarding VR was designed to be used with Google Cardboard, but it can be also used with any other VR headset, for example Durovis Drive, Samsung Gear VR, I AM CARDBOARD, EasyLife, Carl Zeiss VR One, EVA VR Kit and more.

Game modes
In Mad Snowboarding there are two game modes. On the one hand, there is the trick mode. In trick mode the player has to reach the end of a level within a certain time limit and do as many tricks as possible. The crazier the tricks the more points he will get. Once the player has reached the end of the level he will get a bonus multiplier calculated from the time that is left. On the other hand, there is the race mode. In the race mode the player has to be as fast as possible and reach the end of a level in the shortest possible time.

In the first levels of Mad Snowboarding short tutorial videos are shown. The player will learn that he can accelerate and slow down the rider. He also will be taught to jump over obstacles, make tricks and earn points. Later on he will learn how to grab while in air and that grabs will increase the score of the tricks he does.

Control modes
In addition to the always supported keyboard control mode, Mad Snowboarding has three different control modes when played on a mobile platform. There is a touch keyboard control mode. It mimics the arrow keys of a hardware keyboard. Also a typical touch joystick is available. Both of these can be placed on the left or on the right, also the size of the elements can be changed. The third control mode is based on the accelerometer data and allows the player to control the game by tilting the device.

Mad Snowboarding has a built-in level editor. The player can create his own levels and share them with the community. He can also download levels created by other players. The downloaded levels can be played, but also loaded and modified with the level editor. This way levels can be improved iteratively after being reworked by different players.
Ghost Multiplayer
Mad Snowboarding allows to compete for highscores with players world wide. Additionally, each highscore can be replayed, this way players can see the best route in each level. Besides, it is possible to set a ghost of another player. This way the player can fight the recorded replays of other players in realtime.

i love the graphics, they have a really lovely and relaxing feel to them. The music is quite soothing as well. Although I like the concept, many of the puzzles are obtuse, and many objects are nearly impossible to see without the help mode on.

While I enjoyed playing it, I would imagine that most players would require the walkthough repeatedly in order to progress. (The built in guide is really helpful, however I ended up relying on it quite a bit in order to finish the game.)

Hey, I love this game but I'm stuck. I'm looking at the walkthrough and it says the next thing I should do is put the glass fins on the statue in scene 23, but I can't access that scene, there's no up arrow on the waterfall to even get there.

What form are you currently in? The fish statue is inside the cave door, there won't be an arrow there. You just need to click the cave opening!:)

Hello! Yes! Changed the UI so the game fits wider screens better, there’s bug fixes, art improvements etc. Haven’t had a chance yet to update the screenshots. :)

No worries, didn't have a chance to update the page with new screenshots, logo and do a devlog yet, as I wanted to update the demos too first before doing that!
